II Jornadas Tryton 2017 joins the community of users and developers in Barcelona

Nearly a hundred users, CTOs and Tryton developers gathered for the second edition of the Tryton Conference, organised by NaN-tic. The conference programme, held on 23 and 24 October at the Mobile World Center in Barcelona, was divided into two sessions. The aim of the first session was to share the new features included in the latest released versions of this business management tool and, at the same time, present several success stories from companies using Tryton to manage their activities from different perspectives. This session attracted the interest of several companies considering adopting Tryton as a corporate management tool.

Attendees were able to learn first-hand how a major fruit-marketing company manages its production and logistics with Tryton. This talk was later complemented by a more specific presentation on warehouse management. The benefits offered by the ERP to project-based companies were also explained, as well as how Tryton can be used as an engine for companies focused on selling products through their websites. Monday’s session concluded with three presentations related to the healthcare sector and, above all, the traceability and management of laboratories.

Tuesday was dedicated to developers. After introductory sessions on Tryton programming and PostgreSQL architecture, several hackathons were organised to foster the development of new features and modules that enhance the program.

Around 100 people attended the 2017 Tryton Conference, with participants from across Spain and even Argentina. The next event for the Tryton community will take place in Liège, Belgium. The tenth edition of the Tryton Unconference will be held there from 7 to 10 December.
