Reempresa is a program through which entrepreneurs gain access to ownership of a running company, to make it grow without having to go through the creation phase. With this process, all the assets of the company are maintained, which continues to operate and maintain jobs, facilities, customers, and suppliers. After seven years of operation of the program, Reempresa has been able to give continuity to 1,770 companies in the country, protecting more than 5,000 jobs and generating an induced investment of 80 million euros.
NaN-tic was invited to the presentation of these results that took place at the end of July at the Palau de Pedralbes in Barcelona. It was a good opportunity to get in touch with people who have taken over and given new impetus to businesses that were at risk of extinction. To people who have wanted to change, and have changed, their business.
The event was attended by Pere Aragonès, Vice President of the Government and Minister of Economy and Finance of the Generalitat de Catalunya, and Àngels Chacón, Minister of Business and Knowledge. During the session, witnesses of different success stories were featured and interesting data was provided. Possibly the one that most caught our attention points out that 37% of the re-entrepreneurs that have increased their turnover have implemented technological improvements for business management.
